When you use diamonds.forsale we collect three categories of data:

• Anonymous usage data — pageviews, referrer, browser type, country (city-level approximate). Used to understand which pages help users.
• Diamond details you enter into the calculator — shape, carat, color, clarity, cut, certificate. Stored locally only; we don't transmit unless you click "match me with buyers".
• Submitted info if you click "sell" — name, email, phone, ZIP, diamond details. We use this to forward your inquiry to vetted local jewelers in our network.

• We don't sell your data. Ever.
• We don't run third-party tracking pixels (Facebook, TikTok, etc.).
• We don't email you unless you explicitly opted in.
• We don't store your credit card — we don't accept payment on this site.

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless. We do not set tracking cookies. We may set a cookie in your browser localStorage to remember your last calculator inputs — that cookie is never sent to our server and you can clear it any time from your browser settings.

Google Analytics + Google AdSense may run on this site. When they do, we display a cookie consent banner for visitors in jurisdictions that require it (EU, UK, California, Brazil, etc.) and respect the choice you make. AdSense personalizes ads based on opt-in state.

Some external links (online jewelers, wholesalers) earn us a small commission at no cost to you. Disclosed in the footer on every page. Editorial picks are independent of commission rates.

When you submit your diamond details for matching, we send the relevant info to vetted local jewelers in our network — typically 1 to 3 buyers near your ZIP code. We share only what they need to make an offer: shape, carat, color, clarity, cut, and your contact preference. We never share your full address or phone unless you choose phone as your contact method.

The calculator returns price bands (retail, private resale, jeweler offer, pawn) based on heuristic models built from public diamond price lists. They are estimates, not appraisals. For a binding price, get a GIA report and a written offer from a certified jeweler.

You have the right to request deletion of any data you've submitted. Email us via the contact form and we'll process within 7 days.
